Well either it was a mistake (they're trying to get this sort of thing worked out)

OR

From the get go it has always been said that the boards are in US dollars, it possible that there's been a price fluctuation in the value of the US dollar that is being reflected on the site?

Got order in 7:07am 29/2 after many time out & refreshes. Email shortly after saying W/C 12/3/2012 estimated delivery, online account says "Back Order" under RPi.

In the UK by the way.

W/C 14/05/12. Well that's moved from the original 03/04

Still, around my birthday so not too bad. Gives me time to sort all the other things I need.

Yes, those thieving bastards are robbing us - they're charging us a whole £31 for a poxy linux machine!!

When I bought my board on 29/02 I was charges £31.  2 days later I checked the price and it was £29.  Now it seems it's back up to £31.  I'd agree they should have a flat fee for everyone, but as the distributor it's up to them what they charge (as long as they pass the fee back to the Foundation), and price fluctuations on a regular basis isn't unusual for online retailers.

But hey - you would assume that they would try avoid that with all the negative PR they're getting at the moment

new mail from farnell, my pi is beeing prepared to shipment. They told me yesterday the shipment will be week 23...

And for me (in france) the pi cost 33€ + 8€ VAT and 12€ shipment total= 54€... 33 £ is more 40€, most of the difference is shipping i guess.

i've ordered on launch day from farnell NZ, up until now, i haven't got any confirmation date yet.  it is still back ordered whereas some people who ordered lately already have a ship date. really disappointing.

I don't think anyone posting their ship date are getting this from their account status - simply from the initial email they received.  I ordered very early on the 29th and although my email stated 12th March (which is fast approaching), my online account still has a status of 'Back order'

You lucky people managed to order already... Until today I had no possibility to order any to have it delivered to Poland. I wonder if RPi knows where it is?

What I successfully did was to register my interest - on the launch morning already... And after this I received an email from polish RS saying that they thank me for my interest and will come back to me soon... And that's all...

As I tweeted to RPi previously - it seems that the board will arrive on Xmas - almost as originally scheduled - just 2012 instead of 2011...

Cheers

GJ

Orders placed in the U.K. with Farnell from today onwards are being quoted an estimated delivery date of week commencing 16th July 2012… I kid you not!

Hopefully they will be able to improve on this, or I can see them ending up with more than a few rather unhappy customers!

My order status page on Newark changed from May 12th to April 3rd.  Still shows a backorder status though.

If you have placed an order with them you should have received a confirmation email with an attached pdf 'order acknowledgement' file which contains an estimated delivery date.

No I received an email saying that I would receive another email with a pdf attachment but that second email has not arrived (it's been a few days). On the website it lists the order as 'processing' under my orders.
