You guys seriously need to automate this with paypal. Once payment is approved, the key(s) get(s) generated.

Unfortunately not all over us has patience as a virtue.
Did you read the above post at all? It being worked on. Unfortuneately the automated system broke, so there is some work to do to sort it out and work through the backlog. It will be done as soon as possible.

I suggest getting some patience. It comes in useful in all sorts of ways.

Hi,

The key generation process is running now and i know people are receiving their keys again. If you contacted the store to say your keys had not arrived and they have now reached you i'd be grateful if you could update me.

Thanks you for your patience during these difficulties

But I got the email twice at 6 hours interval. That not really a problem.

Thanks you!

Much as I would like to pretend that I care about you pretending to not care about our troubles, I find that I find that pretending to not care means I find that I pretend to not care at all. Sorry. Or not.

Patience, as I believe Prudentius said, is a virtue.
LOL. Great one, James!

Hi there,

I tried to purchase a license on Nov 24 2013 (PayPal Invoice ID: #113713) but did see a message saying "Your order details are incomplete or invalid. Please email [email protected] for assistance."

So my question is pretty straight-forward - how may I still get a license?

Thanks in advance.

If you read through the thread you would realize that the system IS in principle automated, but somehow one particular order broke the system for a while, and manual intervention was needed to recover.

Good God man! You cannot expect someone with no patience to actually read stuff before posting! That way madness lies. ;)

TBH, it sounds like he's a bit like...lying. You cannot simply changed the serial number with a JTAG connection. He's thrown in some buzzwords to make it look like he knows what he is talking about, but in fact, he doesn't.

I have the same problem. For now the money has left my Paypal, but I haven't received the licenses. I sent an email to [email protected]. Is that email account working or prone to Spam?

I ordered the some licenses last Friday. I can see the money left my account on Monday, but have still not received any email from the store. I complained by email, but haven't heard anything.

Does anybody know if this email store(at)raspberrypi.org is monitored?

Well, so it seems like nobody (from Raspberry Pi foundation) cares about this issue.

I do want to have MPEG2 decoder working on my board. MPEG2 encoding is used on DVDs and IPTV - so currently I cannot play either - which is very pity.

I think it is still possible to try to get money back since payment was done via PayPal, but I'd like to have decoder working.

If this key-cutting service is that faulty why don't add codecs keys (£2.40 for MPEG2) to the board price tag and this will be a fundamental resolution/fix.

Still in hope of getting a key sometime soon.

Order #123890

Mon Jan 06, 2014 1:29 pm

Edit: I've recieved the keys today. Thank you! Gonna try the out tomorrow.

Hi,

I placed the order described in the subject field and i've still not received any license keys for the VC- 1 and the MPEG codecs.

It's been over 72 hours.
I have received a confirmation e mail from you that the order has been placed and a confirmation e mail about the payment from PayPal?
When can I expect the keys?

Best regards
Andreas Olin

To people waiting for keys after the Xmas break.

I have processed 500 key requests to date, these are starting to be sent out now, i have another 200 odd to process once this is done. This should give you an idea of the queue you are in. I'm hoping to have all key requests received by this point processed and sent out by Wednesday.

Kind Regards

Emma
