Hey All,

Through the magic of induction charging, I've gotten the Raspberry Pi to work with a wireless charger module from Seeed Studio.

You put 12v through the transmitter, and out comes 5v on the other side of the coil :)

My next goal is to make an acrylic case that can stack on top the transmitter.

Impressive! Will be mighty brilliant if it could power multiple Rpis wirelessly.

Ah only 600 mA =(

I was hoping this would be a nice solution to running a pi on a power bank that can charge/serve at the same time. so I can pull it off if i need to move it for a few minutes. For a portable camera or self charging robot =)

That's how transformers work, by induction.
Would you be interested in a soft iron core?

Hey, why is my chair moving by itself?
Why is my hair on fire?

Inductive coupling in air sucks as a means of energy transfer. You CAN power stuff that way but expect horrible losses.
