Using a USB drive as memory after bootup

Fri Feb 22, 2013 9:04 pm

Sorry if this one has been answered before. I couldn't find anything that said how to, just that you can.

I just need to know how I can store files and programs on my USB drive, rather than straight to the SD card, while on my Raspberry Pi.
Is there something I add to the command "sudo apt-get install" that would get it onto my USB?

Thanks!

Just insert the USB drive and use the file manager like you would on any other computer.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.
