PI Model A hangs during heavy network load/Torrent

Wed Feb 20, 2013 12:23 pm

I recently purchased two PI Model A board and two wireless network card (8188cus). I am having issue torrenting (transmission-daemon) over wireless as it hangs/freezes after a few minutes. Tried different wireless card, SD card and PSU and I am having the same result. The OS I am using is “2013-02-09-wheezy-raspbian.zip”.

PI works fine as long there is no network load. Is anyone experiencing the same issue?

Thanks in advance.

does
tail -f /var/log/syslog

during access help any?

it's probably because of the USB
the model A is not really designed for networking ;-p

I use transmission-gt GUI client and that works well.
