Liz has had plenty of opportunities to say "The RaspPi will not be going on sale at 6am". That would not interfere with any contract that I can imagine. She has not said that, in fact she has gone as far as possible in the direction of giving the impression that the "news" is the opening of sales.
If the shop does not open at 6am, then there are a lot of people who are going to feel they have been misled, and Liz is astute enough to know that. The Foundation does not need bad publicity hours before launch.
I will therefore have my Paypal account ready at 6am and hope to be able to use it.

I understand any long standing agreement such as payment methods is unlikely to change. But my brain is a strange place. And when you input spending the day Gardening, arrive on Monday ready for sale Wednesday it all adds up to a Fulfilled by Amazon. I could never see volunteers stuffing envelopes that is work. Sorry for the excited prediction nonsense.

well if not everyone has received said email i think there needs to be a review on the mailing system. i can understand the mailing servers not handling 100k scribes but they should have been released sooner or the launch delayed a day to ensure that everyone receives that email at least 24 hours in advance.
just looking at things from a "fair use" point of view.
people shouldnt need to hang around on the forums to learn the stores opening when theres a mailing list feature.
either way im waiting till a later date and will be keeping an eye out for information on regular batches going on sale

lol ur welcome to it lol, dont have the spare cash to be trying to buy one of the first batch anyways, im moving home on friday and im starting up a business at the same time so im way to busy to be faffin with a busy server trying to beat other people to the punch haha.
i personally believe the Pi is worth waitin for
