This is a list of wishes and musings which might influence the eventual design of a revision C RBpi; if they don't strike a live nerve please use them to line the budgi's cage bottom.
Either more USB ports, or less- 1 is enough if we assume one will use a usb hub. Otherewise, 2 is the bare minimum, and preferably 4. 1 and a hub gets the job done very nicely, and as the hub is not part of the purchase, a single socket is a less expensive option, but make sure to tell folks they will need to use a hub..
A usb to Ethernet adapter lets us eliminate the Ethernet hardware altogether. But when pi wants to boot the first time, will the hardware work with it? If booting with berryboot, it had better...
Using a SD card Edrive (instead of H(ard)Drive) is good. Should there be a way for there to be 2 of them, even if it is an adapter with 2 sockets? Does anyone have a 1 ->2 splitter with 1 plug and 2 sockets for SD cards?
An image of a pi's SD card can be called a piprint.
To Nifflheimr with with the off switch, use a surge suppressing power-bar with a switch and circuit breaker on the end of it. One should use a surge supressor anyway; some come with a switch. Use THAT.
Change the color codes of the indicator LED's. Try moving them around some. In the clear/clear colored case, they look nifty. Spread out a little, it's more immediately apparent which one is having a kniption.
There should be a more convenient way to mess with fine tuning the config, both for overclocking testing and for display fine tuning. Or maybe there is already, and It's just not leaping up and waving a banner, IDAKNOW...
And for the overclock affecionados, how about an optional heat sink to clue on the spot most in need of it? You can sell it as a fundraiser for the foundation.
Speaking of which, how about a DOPNATE button? One in US$, one in Euro's. I have a jackson here with the foundations name on it.
