interfaces configuration problem

Thu Feb 14, 2013 3:25 am

Hi,

My Interfaces file is shown below. My problem is that I can't access wifi after re-booting unless the ethernet is plugged in beforehand. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? If the ethernet cable is plugged in I want to use that. If cable not plugged in I want it to use the wifi IP. With both plugged in on boot, I can ping both IPs.

Thanks, Rich

I tried the same but it never works.

I think it is a problem of default route : which interface for default route ?

Not able to find a solution at this level.

A possible solution is to test activity of links but not found something about.

So I actually don't know what I'm talking about, but could it be that you need an "auto wlan0" in there somewhere?

Don't know but th ethernet part works fine. It I reboot with cable out then plug it in later, the interface comes up fine and I can access PI via its IP.
