compiling kernel 3.7.x - with how-to

is there any tutorial how to compile the latest 3.7.x kernel for raspbian?

i saw it, but there is only the git adresses and not a how-to.

for example i would like to have a .config for compiling....

i need only special things for 3.7. branch, a standard kernel i am able to compile

Take a look at:

There is a .config there as well.

I've used this to get to 3.7.7+ (not had chance to do 3.7.8 yet).
I then added the aufs patch set to it so I have an aufs root with most of the SD card R/O, tmpfs for transient and a smaller partition for the /rw to persist important changes.
