Thank You for your comment. I woke up this morning looked at the logo and I agree with your remarks. Mainly - It looks like I came out with raspbercy logo instead.

I don't understand the 80s look impression
While making the font (this 9 letter set) I wanted to achieve technical yet stylish look that would fit the product. I was thinking of circuit boards and Cadillacs

As for the greek pi letter... I agree it has some "cool factor" to it but from design point of view it doesn't bring anything except possible confusion for people or children who wouldn't be able to read it (these kind of information is also mentioned in the contest guidelines).
