Shipping issue regarding the one-device-per-person limit

Hi!

Some friends of mine and me (three in total) would like to try and order a Raspberry Pi each when it's possible. We are from Germany, so we would have to pay the shipping fees three times if there is such a one-device-per-person limit, and I guess that would not be quite cheap and could almost double the total costs.

Would it somehow be possible to leave a comment at the order form to let you know that you can send three devices from three different orders in only one package to one adress to save some shipping costs?

Not in the inital batch.

Allowing for this would permit people to easily get around the "one per person" rule, so there is only only allow per delivery address. This will change with the later runs.

(This has been discussed before, I expect this to be locked in short order.)

Plus I'm assuming that the shipping charges get factored in when you put in your order. Since you can't order 3 in a single order, there'd be no way to tell the system "charge shipping for 3 on order 1 and no charge for shipping on orders 2+3."

You're each going to have to go in, try to order, and pay individual shipping. Sorry, just the way it is...

Or just wait a couple extra weeks and get in on the 2nd or 3rd production runs when they lift the 1-per-order-per-person embargo.

I'm afraid RaTTuS is correct, at this time the RPF lacks the administrative overhead required to carry out what you're suggestion
