Rasberry Pi Questions

Hello all !

Just been reading about the rasberry pi and it certianly looks like an intresting device. Just have a few questions though! ....

1. Will the rasberry pi have on board audio or do I need to use a USB sound device?

2. What voltage does the rasberry pi run on? (eg can I use something like a USB (5V) Power supply at all?).

3. How big will the finished device be?

I'm hoping (though I don't know how well I'll do!) this device might be able to use armedslack that'd be intesting!

Welcome lJones! Now that the forum is getting larger, I highly recommend using the search feature

1. I will have HDMI audio output supporting H.264 with level 4.1 playback as stated here

2. The power supply is discussed in great detail here

3. The r-pi main homepage states that the alpha board they just purchased is slightly larger then the credit-card-sized final product will be.

There's also a wiki that user Michael put together that is extremely well done

There's also an analogue output jack as well... if I recall correctly.

There are also brief details on the wiki page that abishur linked to a couple of posts up. Basically, analogue 3.5mm stereo jack connected to a DSP-accelerated 1-bit DAC with a low-pass filter.
