Logo ideas

non-sense! the way I look at it my art skills are so weak anyway, that the best thing I can do is throw my ideas up there and let someone who's better at art duplicate/modify it, give a courteous nod my way for inspiration and win the contest

i'm thinking of hireing a friends daughter who did my gravitar image to turn my idea into a proper logo. she works cheap only cost me $20 of British candy and chocolate last time

the color choice of the font is a bit off but i delivers what i mean...

i hate to admit it but I actually HATE raspberries. i've never liked them as they taste yukky gooseberries however are really tasty especially in pie or crumble with birds custard

i'm getting reasonably good at inkscape now. I actually have a pretty good looking raspberry

i'm actually quite please with one of the designs. it still needs some work though after looking at it again.

I have one more new idea that i think is promising so i'll do a version of that too and then take a break until next week and then see if i can borrow a friends drawing pad.

Just as a matter of interest what graphics program are you using? i'm currently using gimp2 and inkscape although I just realised they don't do CMYK so i'll need to find a way to get my images into the required format

Some Logo thoughts
1) baby tux - because it is a small or baby computer and will presumably be mostly run with Linux
2) big muscled arms - because it has an ARM cpu
3) holding a piece of Raspberry Pie - because the raspberry pie project to some extent stands on top of Linux and ARM?

I have quickly knocked together this picture from stuff from OpenClipArt.org

I'm using inkscape at the moment.. although I have to admit that Adobe illustrator works a lot smoother, but I fully switched to Linux recently and haven't got any time to set up my windows virtual machines and install illustrator.

Anyway, it should be possible to work in inkscape once you get used to it.

Y'know, jmaustpc, I read that and I thought of a disc-shaped world balanced on the backs of four giant elephants which in turn are standing on the back of an even bigger turtle. But that's probably just me

Apperently there is already a raspberrylinux distribution, make sure the logo doesn't look like theirs:

The website of the distribution is offline and they haven't tweeted for like 2 years, but you never know
