give top contributers heads up on sales date

Just a thought, but how about giving the forums top contributers a heads up on sales date,
I am a Linux newbie an will be relieing on some other members to share there skills, nevertheless I would love to get one from the 1st batch , however not if it ment other more experienced and more contributing members missed out, I would feel a royal k#%7 if I got one an young Liam missed out,
I would buy from the 2nd batch ,but I know other less desirables will be buying only to flog for a profit on eBay an I feel I am more deserving than these types lol

It is impossible to measure who is a "top contributor". If you do it by post count the forum will get flooded with junk as people boost their count.

The only fair system is a free-for-all.

And for some reason it does not count your contributions 'outside' the forums. I found that after I had answered many, many questions in the gertboard section my 'score' was still ~20. It's not a contest but I had to smile at that: Another SW bug....

Oh and I already have a board.

(Correction: had a board. Eben has taken it with the one assembled Gertboard + demo to the USA.)
