4G router with a RP4

Mon Jun 22, 2020 10:18 am

Hi,
I have a raspberry pi 4, I'd like to make a 4G router with it and I have a few question about that : in term of wifi speed, number of simultaneous users, supported LTE bands, ect is it worth it to create my own router rather than buying a Huawei E5577 or even using a smartphone ? Because buying a good 4G dongle seems to be as expensive as buying whole router. I coud get the Huawei E3372 dongle but I think it doesn't support enough (French) bands (we have 700, 800, 1800, 2100 and 2600 MHz and this dongle has 850, 900, 1800,1900 and 2100 Mhz).

Thank you.
