Recent posts on Home page

Please can we have the last 5 Forum posts back on the home page?  I find them very useful for tracking what's going on, and easier tah wading through the full Forum list.

Unfortunately it was caning the database (and bandwidth) so was removed to improve the performance of the forum. You can use the drop down "new posts" in the forum itself, though I appreciate this may not be as handy.

Afraid not. It meant that a database query was sent every time someone loaded the main page, and as such was causing too much load on our servers. We still haven't managed to completely excise the database errors, but you should have noticed fewer since we made that change (and some others which I bet you haven't noticed).

This has been discussed several times before - please use the search! Closing this thread to avoid duplication.

On the forum page there is a button marked, Topics With Unread Posts. It performs the same function.

I think both Scep and me closing the page at the same time confused the forum software - REALLY closing it this time.
