Raspberry Pi run homebridge from a second network

Thu Jun 04, 2020 9:47 pm

Hi,
I’m new to raspberry pi and have successfully set up homebridge on my raspberry pi 4b so that I can get my best thermostat and underfloor heating linked to HomeKit to enable control from my HomePod/Siri and avoid using several different apps for things.

I have two separate WiFi networks at home, one in my house and a separate one for an annex. I would like to know, is it possible to create a link so that devices In the annex can still control the heating, lights etc in the main house via the homebridge, even if the Raspberry pi is connected to the other WiFi network?

I know it’s an odd request! - sorry

If so what would I need to search or could someone provide some instructions.

Many thanks

Why the 2 WiFi networks? Can’t clients in the annex reach the AP in the home?
If at least one client can get correct signal from the mothership, you could try this: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=275856

If you then run an AP in the annex all its clients would also be on the main network.

Don’t expect anything good if wireless signal is flaky.
