Re: How to control memory allocation?

As this pastebin (http://pastebin.com/Mnyem347) from a Reddit user who bought one of the beta boards shows, even the 256MB version seems to only allow the ARM CPU to see 128MB of that RAM by default.

How can we alter this? I understand that some memory will need to be allocated to the framebuffer and GPU but 128MB seems a bit excessive.

As per his Q&A

"I've spoken to the developers and they are releasing a new version of the OS later in the week, so hopefully that will fix it."

Thanks dukla2000 but I'd already read that statement.

I'd like to know myself how to control the memory allocation.

That sort of information will be available once the board launches. Early versions of the OS that were sent out on the ebay boards had a simple split, but its better now!
