Email server for local network

Tue Feb 18, 2020 2:43 am

I want to set up an email server which will only send and receive emails within my local network.

Maybe a few emails per day between about three or four people.

I see a number of email server guides posted here, but they all seem like overkill. Any advice?

If I don't open up any ports and don't link to a commercial server, so I have to deal with all the security items?

(I was hoping that Gmail allowed to block unknown senders and receivers, but it doesn't do what I needed to do. Is there another free service which would do so?)
Thanks

Any recommendations on how to just have a local network mail server?

Thanks

Although not specifically for Raspian or the Pi this guide looks like it should work:

Note: I've not tried this myself yet but I plan to in the very near future.

Thanks!

Looks cool, but it seems there intention is for access via the local server, not the local network. I wonder if I can just use the host/ip alias of the Pi, instead of localhost.
