Upgrade Noobs

Sun Feb 09, 2020 2:04 pm

Hello,

Is there a possibility to upgrade Noobs 3.2.1 to 3.3.0 on SD card without reinstalling Raspbian OS on my SSD ?

Regards

Why?

NOOBS is only an OS installer.

NOOBS gives you a one-time choice of what OSs to install. If you want to add additional OS you start again, which erases the OSs already on the card.

If you swap out NOOBS for PINN 3.3.4 (which is a vastly improved fork of NOOBS) you get better options for uprading NOOBs and the OS'es you've installed with PINN.

The continuing mystery is why the RPF/RPT folks don't ditch NOOBS in favour of PINN on their download pages.
