A while ago the wireless access point we used in the office failed. It was a Belkin. Reading the reviews had me shy away from their current offerings and go for a TP-Link. That is awful; it has to be power-cycled every couple of days.
Now I'm considering the need to buy one for home use. Our Sky+ box could do with connectivity, and a RaspPi in the lounge would be nice, but both are CAT5-only beasts (yes I know wireless works with the RaspPi although reports are mixed, but not without a hub if I've got a mouse and keyboard attached, and the Sky+ box doesn't do wireless. ) The nearest CAT5 is in the dinning room, and getting it into the lounge around two door-frames, up and down architrave and skirting board, and around the hearth would be a pain.
So I'm looking for a wireless AP that will give me a CAT5 segment in the lounge. I've already got wireless from the router, so I just need something to provide the CAT5 from that.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
