Hi.

You have not told us what size the SD card is that you used , I suspect it is not formatted fat32 due to its size.

I would suggest forgetting noobs and just down load an image file from here https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/

and then download etcher from here https://www.balena.io/etcher/

then use etcher to write the image directly on to your SD card

I had similar problems with that sort of hook up.
Assuming you have your sd card formatted properly as above, and seated properly, try the following.

Always turn your TV on first, before booting the Pi. Wait until you see "no signal detected" or similar on the TV; then boot the Pi. The times I tried turning them both on at once, the TV had not warmed up in time and the Pi did not recognise the monitor and did not boot. I believe there is a thread about this somewhere on the board.

The other thing is, make sure your TV input is set to the proper HDMI port....I have made that mistake also.

My preference also is using the Raspian image and Etcher to create the bootable sd card.

using GParted, try to find the SD card (plug it into your PC) an adapter mSD to USB2.0 and some kind will be needed.

Then delete all the partions on the mSD. "Apply". Create new: "Fat32" partition. Apply. dismount. safely eject if you can see it in your file manager. Then Etcher will be able to apply the Raspian image should be able to flash the mSD. I've had to do it with other Pi solutions.

2) If using Etcher, none of the above is required. Etcher will write a full image to the card, overwriting previously written data including partition tables.
