Can anyone shed some light on the reason for the unending delays in the USA? At first I thought it might be a failure or a delay in FCC clearance, but according to this site, it has already passed. Or maybe they aren't being made quickly enough? Then I thought it might be just the place I ordered it from, but after checking a couple other places in the USA over the last 6 weeks, no one else has them either. Thus, I'm super curious if anyone knows anything about what's going on.

My Order:
I ordered my Pi 4 from Newark (Element 14) on 06/24/2019 at 8:19am (Eastern Time). They say they literally don't have them, and they say they won't have them until at least September/October when I chatted support about what is going on. No one has any details other than the blanket statement of "just delayed." They have even given up changing my expected ship date at this point. It's still stuck on 07/16/2019 since a few days before that day. They obviously didn't ship it then.

Newark (Element 14) is about to permanently lose me as a customer. I too kept receiving delays for my pi 4 order and finally cancelled it after picking up an "Element 14" labeled pi 4 from Microcenter. I'm assuming they are shipping their stock out to suppliers and making direct customers wait. Last month I ordered one of the new pi 4 touchscreen cases https://www.newark.com/multicomp-pro/as ... p/07AH2037 which had an estimated ship date of 8/16/19, well that has now been pushed back to 9/27/19. If it shows up at MIcrocenter (or any other retailer as they are the exclusive partner for MultiComp Pro) first I'll be cancelling that order and no longer doing any business with them.

I've since ordered 9 Pi 4's, 7 of the 4gb and 2 of the 2gb from Microcenter, OKDO, and Vilros so it seems very strange that Newark can't seem to get them....

It's good to know it's not just me, but I don't wish this annoyance on anyone else. I've ordered a dozen or so Pi from Newark in the past and I've never had this issue. (Well, except for the delays on the original Pi 1, but that one makes sense since they just didn't exist in quantity yet.) I'm right there with you on them losing me as a customer. If they are really messing with direct customers in this way, we're all just going to wander off.

I also gave up on Newark after my launch day order kept getting pushed back. I got a 2GB from PiHsop.us (those are almost always in stock there), and a 4GB from Pimoroni in the UK (took less than a week).

I received a Pi4 4GB back in stock notification from Newark on 2019/8/8, and their website did show them as "in stock for same day shipping" so I'm surprised they still have outstanding back-orders from before that. Something is very wrong over there at Newark.
