Which place is best to buy for the US?

I need three 4gb board only but CanaKit is only one in stock but limit 1 and shipping is $14! That would cost me $42 to ship 3x separately!
VilRos.com charged me something much more reasonable for shipping. My Pi4B4GB arrived in 4 days. They still seem to have some 4GB in kits but not individual boards.

You might look at OKdo, which while defined as a "US supplier" is actually in the UK. I'm very happy at the moment with Chicago Electronics Distributors (located in Florida). I've had good results with PiShop.us, too. There was a recent post from someone who recommended Vilros.

So...there are a number of US suppliers available.

I'm in the UK and own two 4gb versions, the stock is good and almost always in stock.
Can't talk for outside of the UK, though.

Not for a very long time. RAM chips in general are still very expensive. The 4GB part used in a RPi 4 is a Micron MT53D1024M32D4DT-053 and you can see the prices for it online. They probably have a much better price worked out with Micron due to the high volume but it still won't be that cheap.

They are showing 40-50 USD each for quantity 1000 or more. That makes the 20 USD price difference a 1GB and 4GB Pi 4 very reasonable.

32 Gbit != 32 GByte.

Already been done decades ago (eg Amiga RAD) though that needs non volatile memory for initial boot.

LOL, well if people really feel they need 4 GB without doing their research to determine if they really need it...
+1
:P

Note that part is 32 Gigabits = 4 GigaBytes.
