Power adapter

Tue Jul 23, 2019 4:49 am

I'm having trouble finding a 5V 4A power adapter with US wall plug and USB type-c connector to the RPi. I'm over-amping in case the adapter degrades over time. Hopefully this adapter will always work, not counting cable issues, of course.

A lot of 4A adapters I found online have barrel connectors and I'd like to have a type-c connector without needing a barrel-to-type-c connector adapter (if that even exists).

If this adapter doesn't exist, what do you believe is my next best option?

Get the RPF PSU for the Pi4B. It's 5.1v at 3A and is designed specifically to power the Pi4B. The cable uses 18 ga. wires. Everybody that is listed as a US supplier of Pi goods should carry it. List price is $8.
