Installation guide not available

I've searched for this problem but have not found an answer. Any help appreciated.

I'm attempting to download a fresh copy of Rasbian for my 3B+ and wanted to refresh my memory on burning a new copy to the SD card. However, there are 2 problems.

1. The installation guide is not available. All pages wiith links to the guide go to a 404 Not Found page. Does anyone know where the installation guide can be found?

2. I'm attempting to download the zip file with desktop and common software. The download times out and fails. I've attempted this multiple times. I have no problems downloading from other sites. Speed of Internet connection is in excess of 100 Mbps.

Suggestions on how to obtain a copy?

Thanks for any help. Not sure what to do here. Dead in the water.

David

The raspberrypi.org website is obviously having difficulties. Probably brought on by a lot of traffic following the Pi 4 launch.

Be patient, I'm sure it will get fixed soon enough.

I forgot about the launch of the model 4. The site is probably overwhelmed. Will try later tonight when traffic should be lighter.

The documentation moved at some point but they didn't update all the links. The guide is at https://projects.raspberrypi.org/en/pat ... spberry-pi

If you are having trouble downloading a Raspbian image, use the torrent files with a bittorrent client (it's faster and more reliable).

To "install" it, just write the downloaded Raspbian image .zip file to your SD card with Etcher. There is no need to extract the image file or format the card before writing. Just run Etcher, select the Raspbian file you downloaded, select your SD card and write.

To be fair, I think its CanaKit that adds the pamphlet, not the PTC.

The two "entities" are more commonly know as RPT (Trading) and RPF (Foundation)
