How hot is it getting, and how are you measuring the temperature? The Pi SoC is based on mobile technology and is designed to run at temperatures that would be painful to touch. So what "feels" hot might not actually be all that hot.
The SoC won't even start to throttle until 70C (158F). And it won't fully throttle until 85C (185F).
