(Closed/Solved) Refreshing USB breaks partitioning

Mon Feb 04, 2019 12:48 pm

Hi,
I'm currently having a pretty annoying problem.
I used PINN to install raspbian lite onto my external USB drive, just to get that extra performance and space.
But now everytime I plug in for example another USB stick, raspbian completely reloads all USB devices, which means that all my partitions on the drive get unmounted and the system is basically unusable.

Is there any way to prevent this reload from happening?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you need a more suitable power supply (or cable).

Possibly a powered USB hub or external power for the drive.

Can you detail how everything is powered?
Need Pi spray - these things are breeding in my house...
