Hello all,

In a couple of days my Raspberry pi will arrive (I can't wait any longer). Currently I'm searching for a SD-card, but in the specs (I hope I have looked right) isn't any information about the SD socket. My question does someone know how fast these are can they run a Class 10 SD card or not??

Bump.

I am in the exact same situation. Well almost, my unit does not ship for a few more weeks :( . I want to get an SD card, will a Class 10 card be OK?

Thanks for responding. I actually found the list of validated hardware shortly after I posted so was able to answer my question (link here: http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals#SD_cards).

I have managed to source a Class 10 64GB SD card so I hope this works OK. Now I just need to learn to control my impatience while I wait for my unit to be delivered

I am not sure that it will! I think cards over 32GB do not necessarily conform to the SDHC standard which is the type of SD cards that the Pi supports.

There are a few 64GB cards in the validated list so I am hopeful that the one I bought will work.
