The first isn't true: The HUDL2 tablet and other devices use an X86 and run from batteries or low cost power supply.

The second is subjective at best.

There's often an aspect of that in most Linux based forums. Personally I'm of the opinion that you use the right tool for the job. Sometimes that's Linux, sometimes Windows, other times something totally different (BSD, MacOS, Solaris/Illumous, IRIX, RiscOS)
