boot time on HDD

Sun Nov 18, 2018 6:27 am

Dear all,
I just got the B+ version to boot from USB HDD.
However when I need to re-boot it fails and I need to "pull the plug" on the Rpi and try again.
I think that the old USB HDD is not started up and I get a timeout so I need the Rpi to wait for some more time but this is just mu guess :)
I hope you guys can help.

Clarify 'it fails to reboot'. What's on the screen when it 'fails'? Error message(s)?
Exactly which model Pi? Is it really a B+ (which would still need an SD card with bootcode.bin) or a Pi3B+?

Which OS + version do you run? Is it Raspbian Stretch with the latest kernel (currently 4.14.79-v7+ )
