Fail2ban-client

Fail2ban-client status is giving
root@coqui:/home/soydepr# fail2ban-client status
unsupported pickle protocol: 4

Main problem seem to be server is running python 3

How can i fix this i am running stretch

Post an issue at: https://github.com/fail2ban/fail2ban/issues where the folks who write this stuff are more likely to see it.

rm /usr/local/bin/fail2ban-client

I don't like this this thread.

It says /usr/local/bin, so the OP compiled his own version of fail2ban and some bad thing blow up, and he said nothing about it.
And his solution is "rm" the main executable file, again with no explanation.

I think the right solution should be getting a fresh new Raspbian and "sudo apt install fail2ban" the default official version.

i did that but it appears i had install -dont remmber- a separate fail2ban. i thought readers would understand there was a conflict of 2 version and i removed the local one
