raspbian on a vertical touchscreen - the mouse thinks its horizontal

Sat Sep 08, 2018 6:45 am

I am using the latest version of raspbian on a 27’ touchscreen displaying the raspbian desktop. I added “display_rotate=1” at the end of “/boot/config.txt” because the touchscreen is mounted vertically. All good, the desktop appears vertically, everything working just fine.

Except for the mouse. For some reason when the desktop is displayed vertically, any touch input shows the mouse a few centimeters to the left and lower than where the screen was touched. I’m under the impression that the mouse still thinks the desktop is horizontal. But I’m not 100% sure.

Is there a way to fix this?

Have you:
- changed your touch coordinate transformation matrix accordingly? Displsy_rotate will only affect your display; your touch controller has no idea about how it's aligned.

As example only (!) as you need to modify device name and transformation matrix !

- you should use 'display_hdmi_rotate' - https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... t/video.md
