Can't see the bottom of the Scratch 2 window to create a new sprite

Wed Sep 05, 2018 2:45 pm

Hello. On the Raspberry Pi 3 I am using, I am unable to see the bottom of the Scratch 2 window to create a new sprite. Clicking the - sign for the window has no effect on the Scratch 2 window. And, I can't move the interface up to see the lower part of the window. Has anybody else had this issue? Thanks.

All the time. And not just on my Pi but any time a developer has assumed the canvas they have will be fully visible despite the monitor resolution I am using, when they haven't coded their software to enable vertical or horizontal scroll bars when it isn't.

Since GDPR came into force I seem to be continually encountering sites when browsing which ask for permission to store cookies etc which seize the whole screen without scroll bars with the 'go ahead' button off the bottom of the screen.

Pragmatically there's not a lot one can do other than complain at the developer, either do without that software or functionality which is precluded, or change one's resolution to cater for what they demand. The later is not so easy if the screen doesn't support what they want.

The Alt+Mouse dragging trick I was informed of might be as much news to you as it was to me -

That worked for getting more of Scratch 2 on the screen for me though I did have to stretch the Scratch 2 canvas once I had dragged it to see more of it. Would be worth a try.
