We're looking at introducing more swag - what would you like to see?

We're going to be kicking off some new swag soon, and have been kicking ideas around about new logo-festooned STUFF for you to buy. What would you like to see? (Can't promise everything you ask for, but we'll consider everything!)

I promise we will revisit the umbrella question.

"More"?
You mean there's already other merchandise (besides the Pi itself) that we can buy?

Hi Liz :-)

+1 for baseball caps, lovely idea.
Still love the current t-shirts with the big logo on the front - they're simple, they just work and one does get recognised as a fan on an alarming basis!
Still quite like the idea of cufflinks, but that's a little niche for the tooling required.
Water bottles would be quite nice.
Hoodies would be lovely, even if it's just the logo on the front (same reason as the t-shirts)
Laptop bags would be intriguing, but go larger rather than smaller as some of us have large laptops ;-)

If available I would have bought a velcro strap to secure an usb HDD to the official Pi case.

Or perhaps an extensible sock/net that could be used for the same purpose and/or as a pouch for accessories.

In the same category I have been looking for a way to attach to a Pi a spare SD or an USB stick. In this case I was looking for something like a small pouch or a loop that could attach firmly to the Pi.

And also a dog tag where I could stick a QR code or write down a contact to use in case of problem.

...a velcro strap...
You know, that's the sort of thing that should have been blindingly obvious to us, but that never crossed our minds. Keep them coming!

- A poster that you can also cut to make a foldable paper/cardboard case.
(I always end up to the same places on google image search for: GPIO pin numbers, pins to use for serial connection. If the poster would show that I guess I would have one near my desk!)
- A styrofoam case, open but able to protect the Pi against shock and garanteed to resist high temperatures.
- The mug in white with 3-color logo

+1 for cufflinks! Would love a pair.

Also a branded SD/microSD card holder with space for labels to write the OS name on would be amazing.

Oh nice, never have seen that page.

Might I suggest USB cables :P Since most people who refuse to use the official power supply, also seem to like buying wet sting.

Pi branded Whizzie ties.

http://www.whizzietie.com/

I got about 10 or so at a convention a few years ago, but it seems that I never have enough of these.

Raspberry branded can coolers to keep the raspberry soda can cool :)

This is not swag, but I will say here I had quite a hard time finding standoffs and screws to adapt a Pi into a case (or Pi + Hat).
- You chose an imperial size for the standoff and screws, "M3" is too big and "M2" is really tiny
- The exact height to use for a HAT is also somewhere between 2 metric values (11 and 12 mil. ?)
- Existing kits branded "for the Pi" are IMHO pure extortion, at something like 1€+ per standoff. At that price, you can buy a 4-standoff kit and that's all.

I was seriously looking at the price of accessories I needed to add to a Pi. I had to fight all the way to China and buy a bag of 50 M2 brass (?) standoffs of the approximate correct height, just in order to spend less per unit on feet and spacers than on the SD card...
I needed to buy for 10 Pis, at 8 standoffs per unit a bag of 50 standoffs was fine. I suppose 25 (up to 6 Pis) would be a more appropriate quantity in most cases.

Please do something about "M2.5" standoffs market availability. (And perhaps try M3 holes in the next design...)

EDIT: replying here to Ernst who posted below (thanks!), because I don't want to further derail the thread: that kit has an ok price, but i. shipping cost not ok, ii. the number of standoffs of a height actually useful on a Pi is much lower than it would seem if you need to attach a HAT. 120 pieces in the kit, only 10-20 pieces of useful height.
/OT

I like that. There's a pi sticker on my luggage to help spot it on the conveyor belt when flying. A bit of a niche use case, but a tag like the one you linked would be nice.

Rainbow coalition stuff always make me feel left out.
Where is my grey Demisexual T shirt for grumpy old fat guys?
Hmm perhaps a grey baseball cap might fit better

Small portable pocket wine flask made in copper or aluminum that its bottom has flat contact area that fit the Pi3B+ CPU, wifi cover and other chips and able to be balanced on top of the Pi.... Yes, act as a huge heat sink is the main selling point.

I drill them out to 3mm anyway, been doing that for 6 years on Pi's ;)

AFAIK, there's no reason to feel left out. It's just signalling acceptance of certain groups, not necessarily that you belong to that group.

The small ones are perfect for cables, I use these mainly for USB cables.

Small stickers with "Raspberry Pi inside" or "Powered by Raspberry Pi", similar to those computers with Intel chips have, for all the embedded projects out there.

I need to be careful not to fly on the same plane as you; I'm using the same method to ID my bags! (I used to have a frozen custard sticker too, but it fell off.)

Pimoroni sell some standoff (and swagstore is through them iirc)

The nice black plastic ones that come with the newer SenseHAT are really nice.
M2.5 as per spec (screws and nuts are easy to get hold of).
But the standoff themselves was a pain as you say.
These are 11.0mm long as used on the SenseHat.
They also fit perfectly a PiZero with Pimoroni EnviropHAT or ScrollpHATHD.
