Hi there

I would like to make my own DIY Sonos Speaker/Speakers preferably using the Ras PI

So I can have as spreaker that streams music I also would like to be able to add to it and ad multiple raspberry pies and speakers around the house and either stream different music to different speakers or do home group stream .

Can you do this with a raspberry pi and what is the better software Rune, Volimo etc or a m I better doing this was chromcast Audio.

Kind Regards,

Maybe also consider Logitech Media Server.

There are a variety of dac hats similar to this one

There are cheaper options from other manufacturers and also it is possible to use the pi Zero....

Lots of projects on the 'web of people repurposing old radios with pi inside.

You've already started another thread on this topic, OP - can you please keep discussion to one thread? Thanks!
