Model B will be $35 as per the FAQs.

Currently £22.75 on XE

A relative strengthening of the £ could make it cheaper for us by the time it arrives.

No, you are correct in that she is awaiting for prices, but the final price HAS been set - this is just prices on components to get the bill of materials (BOM) as low as possible.

i haven't found it in the FAQ, sorry if i missed it. but why is the Price in Dollars for a UK enterprise? i always thought it was for international understanding of the cost... most countries know the USD conversion rate, more than the GBP rate anyway.

i'm curious if that is the only reason.

Our components, the major part of the cost are priced in dollars

You will need to add packing shipping and handling, maybe about £5, which we will pass on at near cost, plus VAT or other local taxes

The price is in USD because almost all bulk electronic components are priced in USD.

Thus using USD protects the Foundation from exchange rate fluctuations.
