Set side panel of PCmanFM to "Places"

Sun Mar 25, 2018 12:19 pm

Hi,

I searched like crazy, but can't find out how to set the side-panel of PCmanFM to icons. It's mentioned you CAN do that, but I can't find it in the settings. I also tried the configuration files (there are two, not sure which is really in use), but I don't know the right code ("side_pane_mode=places" doesn't seem to work).

These are the configuration files I tried. Should I change both?

/home/pi/.config/pcmanfm/LXDE-pi/pcmanfm.conf
/home/pi/.config/pcmanfm/default/pcmanfm.conf

I found somewhere that before, the setting was set by 0 or 1. I also tried 0,1 and 2 as setting, but that didn't help either.

Any hints?

You also need to disable simple mode.
