Boot delay

I use the latest image of Raspbian on the Compute Module. I noticed that after power on the first message on UART
"Booting Linux on physical CPU 0x0"
is after 5-6 seconds.
Is possible make this delay shorter?

I don't need HDMI and in the previous images I used in config:

ignore_lcd=1
force_eeprom_read=0
ignore_hdmi_edid=1
hdmi_edid_file=1

ignore_hdmi_edid is probably deprecated and I try:

hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080

But I still get a few seconds delay.

What does your /boot/cmdline.txt file look like?

In config.txt I have only:

ignore_lcd=1
force_eeprom_read=0
hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080

I asked about /boot/cmdline.txt not /boot/config.txt

dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 console=serial0,115200 console=tty1 root=PARTUUID=7009e660-02 rootfstype=ext4 elevator=deadline fsck.repair=yes rootwait

If you have a way of editting the SD card in case this fails, try removing the "rootwait" from cmdline.txt. You aren't using NOOBS are you?
