Help getting new 2.2 tft LCD working with b+

Mon Mar 19, 2018 11:26 am

I recently purchased a case with the 2.2 tft display and 6 configurable buttons. I have looked at instructions at the following spots -

http://www.raspberrypiwiki.com/index.ph ... SKU:398437

https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-2-2 ... sy-install

I first tried to issue the commands manually - but was not quite clear on what was needed for "modern" Raspian images. The instructions on the Wiki talk about eliminating steps 3 and 4, but the steps are not numbered....

Next I tried using the script from the adafruit page for the 2.2 tft out of desperation. This did not work and appears to be pretty old and of course did not work.

Can someone point me to solid instructions on how to make this work? Also - I would like to play around with the buttons to power on/off and show IP address. Are there any good tutorials to get started with this? Perhaps there is script that someone has created that provides basic functionality of the buttons.

Thanks in advance for any/all help. Sorry if this is in the wrong spot. I was unsure where to place it.

Best,
T

Although they may still work, they do look like outdated instructions.
Have a look in /boot/overlays/ and see if there is one for your display, which maybe listed as pitft22.
If so you should be able to give the instructions for my display board, but use pitft22 in place of hy28b :

No guarantee's as I don't have you display type.....
