There are a lot of variants of this "mini PC" available.

If you check out the Chinese direct-purchase sites, you will find lots of variants with different processors and different memory configurations.

That's one of the devices that I get a chuckle out of...in the "fine print" it says "1.5GHz...1.0GHZ CPU+500MHz GPU". Really, guys...doesn't work like that.

This is a more interesting one as the chipset has support for xbmc.

However it will never have the support of a community like the pi does.

I would disagree...last time I checked Android OS was pretty popular and with a lot of these MK802 based sticks popping up, finding a forum is not that tough. Heck I found one that has already ported Ubuntu on to the thing.

I have a MK802II and use regularly, Android 4.0.4 has some navigation foibles using keyboard / mouse but nothing which can not be overcome:

Another Android SBC is the APC8750 which is available from RS Components

This appears to have a community about it, and a port of Raspbian is available to make it a bit less tabletty.

MK808 Android 4.1 Dual-Core 1.6GHz 1GB+8GB HDMI $66.99 free shipping
http://lightake.com/detail.do/sku.MK808 ... lack-58509
That is a dual core / Dual GPU 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM + you can add up to a 32GB mini-SD card
I comes with an A/C adapter and HDMI cable.
NO LINUX support, closed source code period. No tech details
Use it for what it is designed to be, a tech toy for Jelly Bean. I would wait on this and allow them to fix the .zero bugs, in 6 months it should be less then $50!
