I bought
https://www.amazon.com/Raspberry-Pi-RAS ... B01CD5VC92 about 8 months ago, and today a chip fell off and USB no longer works (with the same 2A power supply). The chip was the tiny one closest to usb block in the corner, and there is no chance of me getting it back. Since the seller is "US Ecozone," which has no website or info, what is my next step to having it fixed or replaced? Of course, I understand that there probably is no warranty but is there anything I can do other than hoping nothing goes so wrong that I need a usb port?
First step is probably to contact the supplier, after that maybe Amazon if it was bought through their marketplace.
As to the impact without knowing what part you mean (a picture might help there) it's hard to say what the impact is. If it's the LAN CHIP then that will mean the sub and Ethernet ports don't work, but it would seem unlikely for that to just fall off after 8 months.
