I usually get them using the torrents. If direct download is not working for you, try the torrent. Out of curiosity I did try a direct DL of 2017-11-29-raspbian-stretch-lite.zip and it seems to be working for me (2 minutes left).
My direct download completed, but the torrent finished first. I assume the SHA-256 hashes are incorrect because the DL page is still showing the September version, so I'll compare my torrent and direct DL and see what I get.
SHA256 hash for both files matched.
Still waiting on the Desktop DL (will update when done and compared).
And the race is on!
Torrent was slow going at first. It looked like the direct DL was going to win, but the torrent is pouring on the steam now and picking up speed.
Torrent = 2+ MB/s vs Direct DL @ 900KB/s. The DL doesn't stand a chance...
DL page has now updated for me and is showing the 2017-11-29 SHA256 hashes. The one above for Lite is correct.
And the torrent has won again! 14 minutes left on the direct DL...
SHA256 verified for the torrent download.
Still waiting for the direct DL... and waiting... and waiting...
And we're done and verified. So at least in my little cold, wet corner of the world, it seems to be working fine.
Ooooh! There's an update to the x86 ISO as well! Gotta get that Debian Stretch with Raspberry Pi Desktop too!
Thanks to all those who worked hard on preparing these latest updates and making them available to us!
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
lots of pop-ups...and where is that annoying music coming from?
