Accuracy of Accelerometr

Hello colleagues,

I have a question. I have to count Uncertainties of Measurement. I measured acceleration raw, using the sense hat sensor. (My values were approximately in interval from -1 to +2) Then I integrated measured values in "z" axis to height. For calculation Uncertainty type "B" I need to know accuracy of accelerometr. I followed technical documentation that specifies ~2g. Never the less I don't understand, how can I apply this accuracy to my data. I hope my contribution makes sense.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Sincerely,

Tomáš

OK if your studying Uncertainties of Measurement then looking at an IMU is a great thing to study.

if you measured acceleration what your measuring is linear force. When it is standing totally still it will have a linear force on it called gravity. When you move the sensor sideways a sideways force is added to the gravity force and the total force is what the sensor will output.

All sensors have error it is normally display as a % error but I haven't looked at the specs for this sensor and it might be displayed different. Can you post a link to the specs so that I don't have to go looking for it.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate it.

Firstly I followed this page https://www.adafruit.com/product/2738, consequently I searched on raspberypi forum and I found technical documentation for accelerometer. https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/MMA7455L.pdf.
