If you still have problems I will claim that the problem is on your side.
You can open the http link in a browser on another computer or smartphone to check.

It might be something with your IPv6 setup.
Here is a link to a guide, how to convince apt to use IPv4 only: ... -or-debian

There was some kind of a network problem yesterday that caused the same problem for me in Texas. Works fine today.

Yesterday the Raspbian repository mirrors were fine, but the mirrordirector server that tells Raspbian where to look was not responding. I'm not sure if it was just the server, or the whole domain, but the result was an error when trying to update the package list. The fix was to manually enter a mirror address into /etc/apt/sources.list, but it seems to be back online now.

The list of mirrors is here:

If you worry about such things, you might want to note the address of the nearest mirror for future reference.
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
lots of pop-ups...and where is that annoying music coming from?

The ipv6 addresses seem to have been a bit of a crimson fish. apt tried the ipv4 address first, then tried ipv6 before giving up. The message with the ipv6 address overwrote the ipv4 address line.
