Really??? You can burn mounting holes in a Pi board with a soldering iron?
I have to admit shortly after I wrote this that I thought about the mounting hole issue and was wondering if there had been any rerouting of some traces to do the mounting holes.
I missed this thread; and even though I am late, I must nitpick your comment also. You would need some great skill at micro-soldering to really make a revision 1.0 board into a revision 2.0. It has been done, but is not a project that even most advanced hackers have the skill or equipment to do! The 1v8 problem was also cured in the revision two board. You can make a revision 1.0 into a revision 1.1 with only moderate soldering skills and equipment, but not a 2.0!
