OK, so why am I seeing it in Raspbian?

I usually do not monkey with stuff I do not know much about, but appreciate your motherly concern.
I am not sure the reply answered "what" , but thanks for the unnecessary warning anyway.

Because you booted your system from a NOOBS SDCard and Raspbian mounts all available filesystems at boot time.
