Physical computing

Tue Jul 11, 2017 7:17 pm

I am just starting out with my Raspberry.
I want to start a project but I need a lot of bits, solderless breadboard for eg.
Where do I buy from?
also I need a RasPio pin label.
Cheers,
Leo

In order to properly answer your question, it would help to know where you live--at least to the level of country. That said, there are a number of companies that sell such kits and accessories for Pis. Among them are Adafruit, The Pi Hut, Pimoroni, MicroCenter, ModMyPi, Central Computer, and Sparkfun. (That list is just off the top of my head...I'm sure there are many more.) Some of those companies are in the UK. Others are in the US.

To answer that sensibly requires knowing where you are. (You can provide this information as part of your forum profile, but you have chosen not to.)

Edit: W.H. beat me to it as I was typing... His list of suggestions is useful.

CPC are in Preston

ShrimpingIt are in Morecambe

4Tronix are near Derby

Pimoroni are in Sheffield

PiHut are in East Anglia

I am a satisfied customer of all the above.

In addition, although possibly at a slight price disadvantage to offset the convenience, the Maplins chain has stores all across the UK.

Hi.

Not forgetting Ebay you can find lots of components on there at low prices, especially if you don't mind waiting for them to arrive from china.

example 20x4 lcd uk supplier £5 + p&p each, from china got 2 for £6 inc p&p exactly the same as I have purchased from both .
