thermal sensor locations

Sat Jul 08, 2017 2:21 pm

So the raspberry pi 3 noobs install recomends the debian OS and it is customised for the raspberry pi with a desktop useing LXDE within the LXDE desktop their is a "panel" for the start menu and the current programs (just like windows) now i have set mine up to have 3 pannels (that doesnt matter) but on one i have it reading the tempature of the system in the settings it is reading "thermal_zone0" but i would like to know if their are any other "zones" on the RPI3-B it comes with 2 heatsinks so i think their must be more than one.
thanks

What do you think "thermal_zone0" tells you and what use is there in reading it?

The second heatsink is for the USB hub chip. That doesn't have accessible temperature sensors (and probably doesn't need a heatsink anyway).
