I've been saying "Mucho" to my Spanish friend a lot more lately. It means a lot to him.

Touchscreen refresh rate

Tue Sep 17, 2019 5:14 pm

This is of interest to those using the Official LCD/touchscreen. I've just found a bug in the touchscreen driver that means the refresh rate is limited to about 25Hz, even though it should be 60. There's a PR going through the system, but thought people might be interested to know the slightly choppy cursor movement is fixed by this - it looks a lot better.

Really odd no-one noticed the problem in the last 5 years...!!!

Not particularly exciting, but I have finally merged some documentation on tvservice, vcgencmd and vcdbg, which some may find useful.

Just uploaded compliance docs for 3A+ for Japan, and for the 4B, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Japan, Korea, Mexico and Taiwan.

In github already, should make it to the main website in an hour or two.

New Camera software stack

Mon May 04, 2020 11:23 am

Just gone up on the blog, but we are very pleased to announce a new fully open source camera software stack. This is completely free of the firmware (except for passing images through the ISP hardware), so you can play around with tuning and all sort of things.

Enjoy!
